BHEL pacts with Zorya Mashproekt

Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) signed a cooperation agreement with Zorya Mashproekt, Ukraine on Tuesday, 16 November 2021, which aims to cooperate for establishing the local manufacture of the Marine GTs and RGs for requirement of the Indian Navy.  
  
Additionally, the cooperation agreement also aims to cooperate for supporting Indian Navy in maintenance & repair of Marine GTs and RGs of ZM make in their fleet. 

Separately, Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) also indigenously designed and developed a prototype Air Pollution Control Tower (APCT). This APCT has been installed in Noida, Uttar Pradesh on a pilot basis by BHEL in association with the Noida Administration. With this initiative, BHEL is working hand in hand with the Noida Authority in the fight against pollution in this area for improving the health of local residents, office-goers and visitors. 

BHEL reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 45.98 crore in Q2 FY22 as against a net loss of Rs 552.02 crore in Q2 FY21. Net sales during the quarter rose 42.6% Y-o-Y (year-on-year) to Rs 4,910.62 crore. 

The scrip fell 1.02% to Rs 63.35 on BSE. State-run BHEL is engaged in design, engineering, construction, testing, commissioning and servicing of a wide range of products and services to the core sectors of economy. The Government of India held 63.17% stake while Life Insurance Corporation of India held 10.89% stake in the company as on 30 September 2021.
