Global cues, macro data to be in focus

The domestic stock market may continue to be volatile next week. Trading will be influenced by concerns surrounding monetary tightening, China's Covid lockdowns and Russia's war in Ukraine. Investors will track fund flows from foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) and domestic institutional investors (DIIs). 

January-March 2022 corporate results will be monitored. Avenue Supermarts (DMart) will announce result on Saturday, 14 May 2022. Glaxosmithkline Pharmaceuticals and Multi Commodity Exchange of India on Monday, 16 May 2022. Bharti Airtel, DLF, Indian Oil Corporation and Dr. Lal PathLabs on Tuesday, 17 May 2022. Pidilite Industries on Wednesday, 18 May 2022. Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, Gland Pharma and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation on Thursday, 19 May 2022. NTPC, IDFC, Pfizer and Sobha on Friday, 20 May 2022. 

India's inflation based on wholesale price index (WPI) for April will be unveiled on Tuesday, 17 May 022. The annual wholesale price inflation rate in India rose to a four-month high of 14.55% in March 2022 from 13.11% a month earlier. 

Overseas, China's industrial production for April will release on Monday, 16 May 2022. China's industrial production grew by 5% yoy in March 2022. 

U.S. retail sales data for April will release on Tuesday, 17 May 2022. Retail sales in the US were up 0.7% month-over-month in March of 2022. 

Japan's consumer inflation data will release on Friday, 20 May 2022.
