Macroeconomic data to be in focus

Trend in global stock markets, the movement of rupee against the dollar and crude oil prices will dictate trend on the bourses in the truncated trading week ahead. Stock markets will remain closed on Wednesday, 5 October 2022 on account of Dussehra. 

Investment by foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) and domestic institutional investors (DIIs) will be monitored. Volatility is likely to remain high amid the ongoing Russia-Ukraine crisis. 

On the macro front, S&P Global Manufacturing PMI for September will be declared on 3 October 2022. 

The S&P Global Services PMI for September will be declared on 6 October 2022. 

Auto stocks will be in focus as auto companies will start announcing monthly sales numbers for September starting from 1 October 2022. 

Overseas, Japan will declare the Tankan Large Manufacturers Index for Q3 on 3 October 2022. 

The US ISM Manufacturing PMI data for September will be announced on 3 October 2022. 

The US ISM Non-Manufacturing PMI data for September will be announced on 5 October 2022. 

The US Non Farm Payrolls data for September will be announced on 7 October 2022.
