Marico on Tuesday reported a 20.27 percent rise in its consolidated net profit at Rs 433 crore in September 2024 quarter. It had reported a net profit of Rs 360 crore during the July-September period of preceding 2023-24 fiscal, the company said in an exchange filing.
The total income of the company increased to Rs 2,746 crore in the reporting period from Rs 2,514 crore a year ago. The revenue from operations was reported at Rs 2,664 crore against Rs 2,476 crore in the same quarter a year ago, a rise of 7.6 percent.
The earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) was reported higher by 5 percent.
During the quarter under review, the company's expenses increased to Rs 2,194 crore from Rs 2,038 crore in the same period a year ago.
Marico reported that sector pricing growth turned positive on a year-on-year basis, with brands implementing price hikes to counter rising commodity costs.
Sales volumes of Marico's flagship Parachute coconut oil grew by 4 percent, while revenue climbed by 10 percent. Sales volumes for its "Saffola" edible oil brand remained flat year-on-year, but revenue rose by 2 percent due to price adjustments.
Marico anticipates double-digit domestic revenue growth in the fiscal year’s second half and expects international business to continue achieving double-digit constant currency growth.
