U.S. stock index futures edged higher Thursday, continuing the prior session's strong tone ahead of the release of more bank earnings as well as important economic data.
At 05:45 ET (10:45 GMT), Dow Jones Futures rose 30 points, or 0.1%, S&P 500 Futures gained 18 points, or 0.3%, and Nasdaq 100 Futures climbed 102 points, or 0.5%.
The main Wall Street indexes recorded strong gains on Wednesday, helped by benign inflation data and strong bank earnings. The S&P 500 rose 1.8%, the NASDAQ Composite surged 2.5% and the Dow Jones Industrial Average jumped 1.7%.
Investors also welcomed a U.S.-brokered ceasefire deal between Israel and Hamas, which heralds less geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.
