Reliance launches Campa in UAE

Reliance Consumer Products Limited (RCPL), the FMCG arm of Reliance Industries Limited, has officially launched its iconic Indian brand, Campa, in the UAE at the 30th edition of Gulfood, the world's largest food and beverage sourcing event. This marks RCPL's debut in the UAE, emphasizing the company's long-term commitment to the region.

Having acquired Campa Cola in 2022 and reintroducing it to the Indian market in 2023, RCPL is now expanding its presence globally. The Campa brand, a cult favorite in India during the 1970s and 1980s, will be launched in the UAE in partnership with Agthia Group, a leading food and beverage company in the region.

Ketan Mody, COO of Reliance Consumer Products Limited, expressed excitement about the UAE launch, highlighting the heritage of Campa as a brand that resonates across generations. "We see great potential for growth in the UAE market. Our focus is on delivering innovative, high-quality products at affordable prices, and we’re committed to transforming the beverage experience for consumers here," the press statement said.

Mody added that Campa Cola is more than just a drink; it's a revival of a legacy and a connection to India’s cultural roots. "Campa reignites nostalgia, and we’re confident it will capture the attention of UAE consumers, particularly the Indian expatriate community, while also introducing the brand to new fans," he stated.

Agthia's CEO Alan Smith also expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, recognizing the strong appeal of Campa Cola among both the Indian expat community and local consumers. "With our distribution network and market expertise, we’re excited to reintroduce Campa Cola to a new generation in the UAE," Smith said.

The Campa product range will initially include Campa Cola, Campa Lemon, Campa Orange, and Cola Zero. With vibrant, refreshed packaging and a competitive price point, the brand aims to appeal to modern-day consumers while maintaining its nostalgic charm.
