U.S. stock index futures edged higher Wednesday ahead of the conclusion of the latest Federal Reserve meeting, as investors seek more clarity about the health of the world’s largest economy.
At 06:40 ET (10:40 GMT), Dow Jones Futures gained 45 points, or 0.1%, S&P 500 Futures advanced 15 points, or 0.3%, and Nasdaq 100 Futures rose 65 points, or 0.3%.
Wall Street indexes fell on Tuesday as a two-day rebound from six-month lows largely petered out. The S&P 500 fell 1.1%, the NASDAQ Composite slid 1.7%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 0.6%.
Wall Street was hammered over the past month by mounting fears of a U.S. economic slowdown, especially amid uncertainty over the impact of Trump’s tariffs.
