Wipro American Depository Receipt (ADR) rose nearly 5 percent in pre-market trading in New York on Thursday, following the IT services company's announcement of an expanded partnership with Google Cloud for enterprise-wide adoption of AI.

At around 4:45 pm IST, the Wipro ADR was up 4.61 percent in pre-market trading.

An American Depository Receipt (ADR) is a negotiable certificate issued by a US bank that represents shares of a foreign company and allows them to be traded on US stock exchanges.

Wipro said it has expanded its partnership with Google Cloud to accelerate the enterprise-wide adoption of Gemini Enterprise and agentic AI.

As part of the partnership, Wipro is also scaling the internal deployment of Gemini Enterprise and will empower more than 10,000 AI-certified specialists, including 1,500 Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs), with advanced AI capabilities to enhance productivity, streamline operations and accelerate decision-making.

Wipro has also launched the LIFT (Launch-Ignite-Flywheel-Transform) framework to help enterprises accelerate AI transformation and operationalise agentic AI at scale.

The framework enables organisations to move from basic task automation to embedding secure, autonomous AI agents into their core, multi-step business workflows, the company said.

Gemini's advanced reasoning and long-context capabilities have enabled Wipro to build autonomous AI agents to streamline workflows across compliance, HR and sales intelligence, transforming AI from basic task automation into an enterprise-wide decision intelligence layer, the company said.
