Alcoholic beverage company Carlsberg India has filed an updated draft red herring prospectus (UDRHP) with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) for its proposed initial public offering (IPO).

Carlsberg India approached capital markets by confidentially filing DRHP with SEBI in July 2026. The capital markets regulator cleared draft papers earlier this month.

The IPO will comprise an offer for sale (OFS) of 8.64 crore equity shares, with no fresh issue component.

South Asian Breweries Pte Ltd, a promoter entity owned by Carlsberg South Asia Pte Ltd, will be the selling shareholder in the OFS.

Carlsberg India operates through a network of seven owned breweries and eight contract manufacturing facilities, which are third-party units engaged in manufacturing and bottling its products. These facilities had an installed capacity of 1,365.25 kilolitres per hour (kHL) during the quarter ended June 2026. As of March 31, 2026, their combined annual installed capacity stood at 5,461.00 kHL.

Carlsberg India reported a profit of Rs 158.2 crore for the quarter ended June 2026, down 3.9% from Rs 164.6 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year. Revenue for the quarter rose 18.3% to Rs 3,013.7 crore from Rs 2,547.2 crore a year earlier.

For the fiscal year ended March 2026, the company’s profit increased 22% to Rs 534.5 crore. However, revenue declined 2.2% to Rs 8,708.8 crore compared with the previous fiscal year.

Kotak Mahindra Capital Company, Citigroup Global Markets India, and JPMorgan India have been appointed as merchant bankers to manage the Carlsberg India IPO.
