Jindal Saw on Tuesday reported a 75.47 percent decline in consolidated net profit to Rs 104 crore for the June quarter, mainly impacted by weak export operations and challenges in its water pipe business.
The company had posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 424 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.
Revenue from operations, however, rose 9 percent to Rs 4,452 crore during the April-June period from Rs 4,085 crore a year ago.
The company said its export operations during the first quarter of FY27 remained affected by persistent geopolitical instability in the MENA region.
Operations at its Abu Dhabi unit were also impacted due to the closure of key maritime routes across the MENA region, leading to supply chain disruptions and operational constraints, which affected the financial performance of the unit, it said
