Nykaa profit jumps over 3.2x

Fashion-to-beauty retailer Nykaa on August 4 posted an over three-fold jump in quarterly profit to Rs 79.76 crore in the first quarter (Q1) of financial year 2026-25 (FY27), up from Rs 24.47 crore in the same period a year ago.

Sequentially, profit after tax remained largely flat. The Mumbai-based firm had reported a profit of Rs 78 crore in the previous quarter.

Nykaa’s revenue from operations rose 29 percent YoY to Rs 2,782 crore in Q1, up from Rs 2,155 crore a year ago. It had reported a revenue of Rs 2,648 crore in the previous quarter.

Total expenses for the firm came in at Rs 2,662.15 crore during the June quarter, up from Rs 2,120.56 crore a year ago and Rs 2,535.80 crore a quarter ago.

"This quarter marked continued acceleration in our growth momentum and EBITDA margins, both reaching their highest levels in the last 12 quarters. Our platform featured exciting new brand launches like Rare beauty, one of the world’s largest celebrity beauty brands, already among the top 5 premium brands at Nykaa, SK-II, a Japanese high efficacy brand, and Judydoll, among our first Chinese beauty brands which is witnessing strong early traction among consumers," said Falguni Nayar, Executive Chairperson, Founder and CEO of Nykaa.

Our AI-led initiatives are beginning to create meaningful consumer experiences, with Virtual Closet already driving 2x higher conversion and AskNykaa, our conversational search engine, emerging as a trusted beauty advisor on the platform. We remain focused on building with discipline, innovation, and long-term value creation," she added.

Nykaa’s Board of Directors also approved the acquisition of 51 percent shareholding on a fully diluted basis in skincare brand Aminu Wellness for a consideration of up to Rs 32 crores.
