Eternal Q4 profit jumps 71% QoQ

Eternal Ltd (formerly Zomato), which operates food delivery platform Zomato and quick commerce firm Blinkit, on April 28 reported a 71 percent year-on-year (YoY) increase in quarterly profit after tax (PAT) at Rs 174 crore in the fourth quarter (Q4) of financial year 2025-26 (FY26), up from Rs 39 crore in the same period a year ago. It had reported a PAT of Rs 102 crore in Q3 FY26.


A Reuters-LSEG poll of analysts had pegged Q4 net profit at Rs 121 crore. The stronger-than-expected performance was driven by continued growth in its quick-commerce unit Blinkit and steady expansion in its core food delivery business, including Zomato.

Profit for the full financial year came in at Rs 366 crore, up 31 percent compared to Rs 527 crore in the previous fiscal.

Eternal’s revenue from operations rose 196 percent YoY to Rs 17,292 crore in Q4, up from Rs 5,833 crore a year ago. It had reported a revenue of Rs 16,315 crore in the previous quarter.

For the full year, the company reported a consolidated operational revenue of Rs 54,364 crore, up 169 percent YoY from Rs 20,243 crore in FY25.

The stock reacted positively to the earnings, erasing all intraday losses to swing into green. It recovered as much as 5.5 percent from the day's low, to end 1.1 percent higher at Rs 258.3.

Total expenses for the Gurugram-based firm increased to Rs 17,406 crore in the quarter ended March, up from Rs 6,104 crore a year ago and Rs 16,493 crore a quarter ago. For the full year, the company’s expenses came in at Rs 55,145 crore, up 167 percent from Rs 20,623 crore in the previous year.

Zomato ended the quarter with a cash balance of Rs 17,972 crore, up marginally from Rs 17,820 crore in the previous quarter.

Food delivery

Adjusted revenue for its food delivery business increased 30 percent YoY to Rs 3,125 crore in the March quarter, up from Rs 2,409 crore in the year ago period. On a sequential basis, revenue from Rs 3,053 crore a quarter ago.

The net order value (NOV) for this business increased from Rs 9,846 crore in Q3FY26 to Rs 9,757 crore in the March quarter. On a yearly basis, NOV increased from Rs 8,210 crore in Q4FY25.

The average monthly transacting customers (MTCs) for Zomato increased to 25.4 million from 24.9 million a quarter ago. The platform had 20.9 million MTCs in the year-ago period.

Blinkit

Eternal’s quick commerce arm Blinkit reported an adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) of Rs 37 crore in Q4FY26, compared to a loss of Rs 178 crore incurred during the same period last year.

On a sequential basis, the adjusted EBITDA was higher than the Rs 4 crore recorded in Q3FY26.

Blinkit's revenue increased to Rs 13,232 crore, up from Rs 1,709 crore in Q4 FY25, on account of the company shifting to an inventory ownership model. It reported a revenue of Rs 12,256 crore in the previous quarter.

Meanwhile, its NOV for the quarter increased 95 percent to Rs 14,386 crore in the March quarter, compared to Rs 7,362 crore in Q4 FY25 and Rs 13,300 crore in the previous quarter.

Blinkit’s net average order value (AOV) decreased sequentially at Rs 525 in Q4, from Rs 547 in the previous quarter, and from Rs 665 in the year-ago period.

Its dark store count increased YoY from 1,301 last year to 2,243 in Q4 FY26. The company added 216 stores during the quarter. Blinkit’s average monthly transacting users reached 27.2 million this quarter from 13.7 million in Q4 FY25.

Going out

Revenue for Zomato’s Going Out business grew 21 percent YoY to Rs 277 crore in Q4 FY26, compared to Rs 229 crore in Q4 FY25. Sequentially, revenues fell from Rs 300 crore in Q3.

NOV for the business increased to Rs 2,736 crore in Q3, from Rs 2,587 crore a quarter ago. The company reported an NOV of Rs 1,868 crore a year ago.
