India's electric two-wheeler market continued its strong growth trajectory in June, with registrations rising 62.5 percent year-on-year to 1,81,140 units till June 29 from 1,11,441 units in the year-ago period, according to Vahan data.
TVS Motor retained its leadership position during the month with 44,467 registrations, up 65.2 percent from 26,911 units in June 2025. The company accounted for 24.5 percent of the market, maintaining its lead despite a marginal decline from 24.7 percent a year ago.
Bajaj Auto remained a close second, registering 40,576 electric two-wheelers, a 69 percent increase from 24,013 units in June 2025. Its market share rose to 22.4 percent from 21.5 percent in the corresponding month last year, further narrowing the gap with the market leader.
Ather Energy held on to the third spot with 29,422 registrations, up 79.5 percent year-on-year from 16,392 units. The company commanded a 16.2 percent market share, compared with 14.7 percent in June 2025.
Ola Electric registered 15,096 units during the month, down 27.1 percent from 20,697 units a year earlier. Its market share almost halved to 8.3 percent from 18.6 percent in June 2025, extending the slide witnessed through 2026.
The company's share fell from 18.6 percent in June 2025 to 6 percent in January 2026, before recovering modestly to 8.8 percent in May and 8.3 percent in June.
Hero MotoCorp-backed Vida continued to gain ground, with registrations surging to 20,198 units from 7,945 units a year ago. Its market share expanded to 11.2 percent from 7.1 percent in June 2025.
The broader market also remained competitive, with the "Others" category accounting for 31,381 registrations, or 17.3 percent of total sales.
The June performance follows another strong month for the industry. In May, electric two-wheeler registrations stood at 1,72,400 units, with TVS leading at 42,941 units, followed by Bajaj at 39,501 units, Ather at 28,499 units, Vida at 19,208 units and Ola Electric at 15,218 units.
