Benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty fell significantly from day's high on September 17 due to various reasons, including profit booking.


Sensex ended 21.86 points or 0.03% lower at 74,314.59, and the Nifty closed 53 points or 0.23% higher percent at 23,270.60. About 2,480 shares advanced, 1,485 shares declined, and 143 shares were unchanged.
