Why Validated UPI Handles?

SEBI’s @valid UPI handle standard helps investors identify registered intermediaries and reduce payment fraud in capital markets.

Format: @validbankname (e.g. @validhdfc)

Max Limit: ₹5,00,000 per day

A valid QR includes the verified SEBI-approved @valid UPI handle.

Quick facts

• The @valid handle must be present and followed by the bank name (e.g. @validhdfc).
• Use SEBI Check to independently verify UPI and bank details.
• Capital market transactions via @valid handles are limited to ₹5,00,000 per day.

How clients can add funds via UPI

Either enter the validated UPI ID manually in UPI apps or scan the broker’s QR code.

QR Code:

1. Open your UPI app (GPay/PhonePe/other).
2. Enter the validated UPI handle or scan the QR code.
3. Confirm beneficiary details.
4. Complete payment.
